Haringey's Multi-agency Safeguarding Induction
Haringey’s Multi-agency Safeguarding Induction programme is available to workers across the partnership. This mandatory, Haringey-wide Induction results from Haringey’s Safeguarding Plan which aims to raise outcomes for children across the borough.
Who Is The Induction For?
- eLearning:
All new employees to Haringey agencies are asked to complete the eLearning when they start working in Haringey, whether or not they work with children, young people and their families. - One-day Training Course:
New employees who have regular contact with children, young people or adults (who may be parents) are asked to attend the one-day induction training.
As well as ensuring that new staff receive basic child protection and safeguarding training relevant to Haringey, the training will count as the regular statutory child protection training required to be undertaken by many staff.

Accessing the Induction
Many agencies' HR departments will notify the LSCB directly when a new member of staff is employed, and we will invite the relevant staff members to attend a training day.
School, Private, Voluntary and Independent settings are required to notify the LSCB directly when a new member of staff is employed so that we can invite them to a training day, where required.
The LSCB needs to know:
- New employee’s name & job title
- New employee’s contact details
- Manager’s name and contact details
- New employee’s start date
Email the LSCB to let us know about a new employee.
