Haringey Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (HSCP) Launch

The conference will focus on early intervention and responding to children experiencing neglect, with a range of presentations and workshops from both local and national experts and young people who have received services. It will be opened by Cllr Zena Brabazon (Lead Portfolio Safeguarding CSC) followed by Ann Graham (Director of Children, Family and Learning Haringey). The conference will include an update on Multi Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA) in Haringey and work being undertaken to reduce the impact of neglect on children and young people since the last JTAI in Dec 2017.

Aims

  • To present an overview of Haringey MASA arrangements
  • To present an overview of the nature of neglect and the impact on the lives of children and young people
  • To consider the key messages from serious case reviews
  • To launch the Children’s Social Care Academy
  • To launch the Haringey Safeguarding Green book and promote the role of the voluntary sector
  • To launch the consultation for the development of the MASA annual safeguarding plan
  • To present public health safeguarding priorities
  • To raise Haringey’s experience of Contextual Transitional Safeguarding
