The HSCB Neglect Strategy 2017-18

Tuesday 21 November 2017

This year, the HSCB agreed a new strategy to work with Neglect in Haringey – the strategy can be downloaded here: Haringey Neglect Strategy (PDF, 350KB). The Board agreed that there was a need to ensure that this strategy had purpose and meaning for those involved in frontline practice.

We held a workshop on 6 November 2017 that was attended by 40 practitioners and managers from all agencies working in the partnership to discuss what needed to be done across the safeguarding system. The slides and feedback from that event, as well as a useful list of resources to support practitioners in thinking and reflecting on practice are available below:

Following on from the feedback we have gathered, the HSCB is due to approve an action plan for all agencies to work to in order to make multi-agency practice effective. It will appear here shortly.

Key information will also be posted here and on the LSCB training page in the new year about a series of Action Learning Sets: Intervening with Neglect. We will be inviting practitioners from all agencies to reflective sessions to support practice innovations and improvement going forward.
