The multi-agency response to children living with domestic abuse

Tuesday 19 September 2017

The overview report of the Joint Targeted Area Inspections (JTAI) of the multi-agency response to children living with domestic abuse (September 2016 to March 17) was published this morning.

Looking in depth at services across six authorities, it calls for a national public service initiaitive to raise awareness of domestic abuse and the impact it has on children. The report finds that the protection of children is good, but that there is more work to be done to prevent domestic abuse in families and to support children from the long term impact of domestic abuse. It also calls for a greater focus on perpetrators of domestic abuse.

The report can be downloaded from the GOV.UK website (external link).
